Chalkboard Walls

I went and saw ‘500 days of Summer’ yesterday at the movies.  It is a great movie, so I recommend going to see it.  One thing I thought was really cool is that in the movie the character Tom has a chalkboard feature wall behind his bed.  At the beginning of the movie he has a headboard for his bed drawn on to it, which you can kind of see in the background of this picture of the character Summer:

 

Later in the film Tom rubs it off the headboard and draws a city skyscraper scene.  It’s very cool.

So, the movie got me thinking, because usually you see chalkboard walls in interior design magazines, but they are usually in kitchens and people write shopping lists or recipes up on them, and they are usually just the back of a door.  I thought it would be cool to have one somewhere a little more unusual, like in the lounge.  Then you could draw a lamp over your couch and draw your own artwork in hand drawn frames.  Here are some other pictures I found of chalkboard walls from doing a quick google search.
